Interview with Taras Horoduskyy : Frank Scott: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?. Taras Horoduskyy : The main principle and idea was to create dynamic design. Design which makes people to move forward, to move to the future. .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Taras Horoduskyy : The main focus , I think, has been to create something new, to play with shapes. To make shapes visually move. .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Taras Horoduskyy : I'm student yet, this award is great achievement for me. In future I want to be interested by other designers and people. .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Taras Horoduskyy : The main shape I did in 1 hour, first sketches always most live and interesting. But for creating more detailed concept it took 3 or 4 month. .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Taras Horoduskyy : I think it was my emotional state then. I sketched first rapid straight line and went on. .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Taras Horoduskyy : No it isn't. It's my coursework in university. .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Taras Horoduskyy : I think , task that has been given to me made my design this particular type of work. .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Taras Horoduskyy : No it where not. I did it only myself. .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Taras Horoduskyy : There is no target custumer because it is my student work in university. .Frank Scott: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?. Taras Horoduskyy : I think this design apart from other concepts by his crazy shapes. .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Taras Horoduskyy : I looked and thought what does it look like...Hmm it might look like arrow. And that's how the name came up. .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Taras Horoduskyy : At first sketches I used pencil and my sketchbook. Later I have exported it to 3ds max and rendered. .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Taras Horoduskyy : Light shapes and modern material .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Taras Horoduskyy : No I did not. I did it only myself as concept. .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Taras Horoduskyy : I think there is main role of technology. .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Taras Horoduskyy : No it isn't. It`s only concept as project. .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Taras Horoduskyy : The main challenge was to hang all construction on the wall and cover it. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Taras Horoduskyy : I saw in web about this contest and then decided to try to take part in. .Frank Scott: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?. Taras Horoduskyy : I think every work improve myself and learn me something new. .Frank Scott: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?. Taras Horoduskyy : there is no other things I`d like to cover. .
